Nerikiri, a traditional Japanese confection, embodies Japan's unique culture that emphasizes seasonal sensibilities through motifs like beautiful landscapes in natural settings. Five textile designs inspired by the colors, textures, and patterns of nerikiri, evoking seasonal landscapes: (Hydrangea, Lanterns, Wisteria, Autumn Leaves, Arabesque)
Five folding screens (two-panel sets) used in tea ceremony furo-saki displays are arranged in a row, their frames evoking mountain ranges for exhibition in a Japanese-style room.
